Mixed feelings about this one as well. Some of the jackets and coats are nice, very modern and classic at the same time but the pants and boots reminded me of “sporty” pirates of the Caribbean!

Elegance and lightness, with exquisite materials, each design is stunning. The split pants have a distinctive style. The bubble jacket is aristocratic. It is not gaudy but looks good. The sense of fashion design is strong. The jewelry is gorgeous and flashy. highlighting multi-faceted women

Bunch of hipocries. I remember when Karl was alive the section comments were all about "Oh Karl is doing the same every collection" "Oh Karl is so old nothing new" And now, critizicing Virginie and saying "Oh i miss karl" blah blah..

Not a fan. She's moving away from classy and elegant and into street and modern. Trying to be more like LV imo, with edgy and less timeless pieces.

Another muse by Virginie Viard… With a reminiscent of Karl Lagerfeld, demonstrated in the use of basic Chanel's semblance of black and white… With a touch of masculine spark in this whole creation… Love.

ok everyone is way too serious here. I kinda feel like saying "Arg Matie!!!" the swashbuckling boots and the pirate buttons are a nice look but maybe not fully together 🙂 I'd love to see that boot with a gold glimmering bodysuit and a leather jacket with deep burgundy lapels to match the boots. I like the pants and skirst with buttons but they would look stunning with metallic shoes to match the buttons.

theme : large gem jewelry, tweed ,( love the lime), stockings. ribbon for hair

honestly these more " casual" look are more accessible to us .like we can wear them in our everyday life. its not neccessarily a big thing.

i guess this is true to chanel as well as their brand is to make luxury women wear and its iconic . this is chanel

although imma find similar piece in zara which is hey , i cant afford chanel so why not

I’m not mad about the collection. I’m mad about styling and creativity making this show. it looking a bit messy. we are used to a whole package, a whole story as Karl has always had been telling us. she just needs to find her own way to do this, maybe without huge scenes like this one, maybe with more Métiers d’Art kind of shows because this looks a little bit scary.

I'm sorry but damn Virginie is making Chanel so much more modern, yes Karl was an icon and will always be but his looks started to become outdated. This is the new Chanel and to be very honest with you it is breathtaking.

I love the models casually walking while talking it brings life to the clothes and actually sells them which the point of the whole show. Putting the clothes on models and make them walk as robots makes the clothes DEAD AND BORING. I hate the misconception when models try to bring life to the clothes it’s become a distraction and people be focusing on the model instead of the clothes it’s totally wrong and my proof would be people buy clothes after they’ve seen them on some celebrity or any one bcuz they know now how the item actually look on a real alive person.

No one need to copy Karl but uncreative and out of date is not a style. She’s bring Chanel 10 years backwards.
